I'm on my way to North Carolina today. I actually left at about 4 a.m. Pacific time this morning. Ugh!
You have no idea how tired I am. I'm also very behind on my email, etc. and I apologize for that. This will hopefully be my last trip for awhile. I hope to get caught up soon.
The purpose of this trip is to move my son to college for his freshman year. (Yes, I'm sobbing!)
Yesterday I was at the taping of two Dr. Phil episodes. I will tell you all about my experiences there as soon as I can.
Since I'm traveling, I thought I'd share two poems with you today. One of my male friends sent them to me awhile back. I've been saving them for a travel day when I knew I'd be too busy to write.
Also - remember you can still join me on Friday afternoon/evening in Charlotte if you live in the vicinity. I'll be at Roosters restaurant for Happy Hour beginning around 4:30 in the afternoon. I will be in very casual attire - probably jeans and flip flops.
Do they wear flip flops in North Carolina? : )
I'm getting really excited to meet some of my Carolina friends. (Both South Carolina and North Carolina friends are going to be there!)
A Woman's Poem
Before I lay me down to sleep, I pray for a man, who's not a creep,
One who's handsome, smart and strong.
One who loves to listen long.
One who thinks before he speaks,
One who'll call,
Not wait for weeks.
I pray he's gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, won't be annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door.
Massages my back and begs to do more.
Oh! Send me a man who'll make love to my mind,
Knows what to answer to, "How big is my behind?"
I pray this man will love me to no end,
And always be my very best friend.
A Man's Poem
I pray for a deaf-mute gymnast nymphomaniac with huge boobs,
Who owns a bar on a golf course,
And loves to send me fishing and drinking.
This doesn't rhyme and I don't give a shit.
The End.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up! Have fun in Carolina and yes...they DO wear flip flops!

I've seen pictures of Ginger's feet - I can say with absolute authority that yes, they wear flip flops in South Carolina.
Wow - you weren't kidding when you said he was going FAR away to college! Have a safe trip, and I'm sharing a sentimental *sniff* with you; I know how hard it is to have them live so far away.

See you in Charlotte!

So this deaf-mute nympho gymnast. What's her butt like? Because I'm not so shallow that I just want huge boobs.

Isn't GoGoInflight amazing? I tweeted about it recently ATL-SAN-ATL and GoGoInflight repaid me with a Follow Friday. I thought that demonstrated a great understanding of social media.
Taking kids off to college is a whole 'nother thing. I've only recently discovered your delightful blog (via Twitter). Is this your first? That's a long way away. North Carolina is, however a great place to go to college. I did it and one of my three sons did also. (Neither of us went to Charlotte, a great town.) Good luck with all you do.

Get your ass back here so we can go to lunch. I am taking my baby to College on Friday. Why are we both flying across the nation to deposit our children when CA is full of great colleges?
I can't wait to hear about the Dooce taping and talk to you about our boys! Call me when you get home. I will back SUnday night.
