While I was in North Carolina I picked up a few things for an end-of-the-summer giveaway. I fell in love with all things Anne Taintor. Anne Taintor products make me laugh. (I particularly want to buy myself one of their flasks.)
This is what I have to give away today to one winner:
Two packages of Vintage Anne Taintor Coasters. There are six coasters in a package. The designs vary but here are two examples:
And my favorite:
The coasters make me laugh. I hate to part with them, but I will. In addition, it seems only fitting to throw in a package of Cocktail Umbrellas to go with the coasters.
Here are the (very simple) rules:
Leave me a comment - any comment about anything!
You get one entry per comment.
You may comment as many times as you'd like.
Comments will be closed at 9 p.m. Pacific time tonight.
A Random Number Generator will be used to pick the winner.
The winner will be announced in tomorrow's post.
Good luck!

You know, your blog is the first one I read every morning. Always a good read.
I picked up some of her stuff while in NC too, so I really don't need anymore. If you pick my name pick again, give someone else a chance to win ;-)

How could I pass up an offer like that? I have a set of cocktail napkins that say, "Boo-frickin'-hoo. Shut up and have a cocktail already.

Love reading your blog. Dropped my son off in NC for college too in 2005. Now he is in Ohio doing an internship for credit to graduate from UofL! Miss him. Love to win the coasters.

Twenty Four. We go way back. Ish. I NEED TO WIN THESE COASTERS, I don't know if you've ever seen these slogans and Anne Taintor paintings on my site but they are MY FAVOURITE. I have a book, some postcards, and the images saved on my computer! I need the full set!
Posted by: emmysuh | August 27, 2009 at 11:08 AM
I'm gonna spread my comments out so maybe I have a better chance of winning, but don't worry, there will be many EmmySuh comments to come!
Posted by: emmysuh | August 27, 2009 at 11:10 AM
Oh good. I need coasters. I have two left out of 5. HOw does that happen? It's like socks in the dryer.
Posted by: Sandra | August 27, 2009 at 11:33 AM
And mine are the absorbing stone kind of coasters. Heavy. It's not like they got tossed out.
Posted by: Sandra | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 AM
I think my kids take them into their room.
And yes, I am having a conversation with myself right now. :0)
Posted by: Sandra | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 AM
I love her. If I could remember the name of the antique store in Orange where I saw her stuff, I'd tell you. I can't remember. It's the antique mall on the left side if you're coming from the 22FWY. Anyhow, love her stuff.
Posted by: Elaina | August 27, 2009 at 12:00 PM
And might I add, I'd be very proud to use that 2nd coaster. Haha.
Posted by: Elaina | August 27, 2009 at 12:00 PM
In fact, I might even have to designate that as my mom's very own special coaster when she comes to visit.
Posted by: Elaina | August 27, 2009 at 12:01 PM
Which...hopefully she will be coming to visit soon as no thirty-something should be living at home (or possibly within a 100 mile radius).
Posted by: Elaina | August 27, 2009 at 12:03 PM
I think I might be done trying to come up with lame comments (except for this one). Haha.
Hope you enjoyed NC! I miss it.

I'm not going to butter you up by tellin' you I can't live or start my day without reading your blog. This is the first time I've popped in from NGIPs blog list. I still crack up when I say that.(Nanny Goats In Panties...LOL) I live in the Ozarks so coasters and underwear is optional but if I had'em, I'd use'em. Good luck to all who use coasters and wear underwear. Here's this farm chick wishing ya'll a good evening.
