Welcome to today's hodgepodge of unrelated topics. There's a reason for this crappy disorganized post, but I'm not sharing it. Instead, I'm just going to update you on some topics I've written about recently. I'm really behind on email and many of you have sent in questions or comments. Hopefully as I ramble today I'll answer some of your questions.
By the way, before I get started ...
I love writing Twenty Four At Heart. I also love every single one of you who takes the time to stop in to visit. When you have time to leave a comment, send an email, tweet me or contact me in any way I'm thrilled. (Except for the emails from That Perv and he knows who he is.) I try my hardest to get back to you, but as 24 has grown it hasn't always been possible. Recently, a few people have been quite blunt in letting me know I suck. I do - I admit it. I apologize.
I'm doing the best I can.
Ok, then.
Spanderella. As a reminder, Spanderella is the married woman who wears only skimpy amounts of spandex and haunts PT. My post on her didn't fool many people in the Money Town community. I tried to disguise her identity but no fewer than six people contacted me knowing Spanderella's correct identity. It must be a new Money Town game ... read Twenty Four At Heart and guess which resident might be hidden in a post.
I will do better in disguising my "characters" in the future. (Either that, or maybe I'll start giving a prize to the first person to correctly identify them?)
A Harmless Affair? Infidelity is a topic everyone seems to want to discuss, and discuss, and then discuss some more. I can't believe the number of people who have shared stories of love and betrayal with me since this post published. I will be sharing some of those stories with you, but I'm trying to space them out a little so I don't overwhelm you with nonstop relationship stories. I'll have another one written up soon.
Going Brazilian I doubt many of you have forgotten that I "live tweeted" my first-ever Brazilian Bikini Wax last month. It's now four weeks later. The salon I go to requires a return visit every four weeks for all of their Brazilian customers. Guess where I will be today?
Ouch!
My friend, Jane Devin, has begun her amazing journey around the United States. She has already begun blogging about her trip, but her website address has changed since I wrote about her. If you're interested in following along on her journey you can find Jane at Finding My America.
I'm not very good at keeping secrets. I'm very excited about something I will be sharing with you in a few weeks ... closer to Thanksgiving time. For now, all I can say publicly is that I think you will be very interested in the topic. Ok, I can't resist. I'll give you one hint. Dr. Nichter might be involved. Do you remember him?
I haven't seen The Torturer in ten days because I've been busy taking care of my very sick son. Ten days doesn't sound like a long time, does it? Ten days of no torture is wonderful in many ways. On the other hand, since I can't move my arm myself, I'm very dependent on having him move it for me. When that doesn't happen all my surrounding muscles begin atrophying and causing problems. I will be reunited with The Torturer tomorrow. I expect it to be a painful wonderful reunion.
Also, my son is feeling better - thank you to all of you who have been wishing him well. I know some of you have emailed requesting my Chicken Soup recipe. To be honest, I don't have one. I make it slightly different each time depending on what ingredients I have on hand. I will try to post a basic Chicken Noodle Soup recipe (as it exists in my brain) later this week. Probably on Friday - but don't hold me to that, okay?
One of my favorite holidays is coming soon.
I've always loved Halloween.
My 24th birthday will be on the Monday after Halloween, November 2nd. To celebrate, I have something very special planned for you. Mark your calendars!
Oh, I can't wait!!

Hope you're not in too much pain tomorrow. Or today for that matter.
And you lead a life, which is busy or not as time goes on, and you do what you can. That includes answering emails etc. Unless they involve work (or money!), I wouldn't stress if I were you.
Have a great day!

People actually get insulted when you don't comment back to them? Not cool.
Hope tomorrow isn't too bad afterward; get the ice ready!
Glad you are all getting back up to speed after being ill.
And looking forward to the mysterious surprise...

Good Lord! How could anyone expect you to comment/email everyone who leaves a comment on your blog?? These people have no life! Or ten followers.
Posted by: Linda | October 20, 2009 at 06:05 AM
Omigosh, IGNORE those people who expect you to answer everything. I mean, god forbid you have a life just because they don't. >P

I'm with VodkaMom on this (who must be in one helluva mood; she offered to come over and help me kill Beloved for a crack he made to me this week). Anyone who thinks you suck needs a good biotch-slappin'.
I cannot WAIT to hear about your surprise.

Some random bloke who calls himself the crap blog detective came by and left a comment that I was NOT creative as my profile suggested I wsa trying to be. WHATEVER.

You don't suck. I can't imagine getting bijiggety over not hearing from a blog author. I hope your son is continuing to improve, and you get the torture you need soon!
Helluva a way to spend the day! ;)

-->I enjoy your Money Town posts (among the others) and if people can figure it out, good for them. You are attempting to keep these people anonymous because otherwise you'd post their pictures too like those poor souls at www.peopleofwalmart.com (scary!).
I'm glad your son is feeling better. I just got my H1N1 flumist vaccine today.

The thing about Pervs is that they often don't know, but hopefully this one does!
Glad to hear son is getting better now.

Glad your son is getting better. I had my first hater post this weekend. Oddly, I almost felt honored. However, I am sure it gets very old. You don't suck. At all. So there.

Let me just say that I HIGHLY approve of the pics in this post as compared to the hairless dude in the previous one. steve

You absolutely positively 1000% do not suck. In fact, you're really kind of fabulous. And hot. And you have a gorgeous smile. And you're smart. And funny.
Um, can I stay with you when I'm in the OC? ;-)
