** Thank you to everyone who (having heard via Twitter) has inquired regarding my well being. Proving, once again, I have a target painted on my car .... An elderly man rear-ended my car, quite forcefully, yesterday as I sat in it at a red light. (Probably because his dog was running back and forth across the front seats as he was driving.)
The Torturer packed me in ice immediately after the accident. I was on my way to PT from a camera store when it happened. The Torturer loves when I walk into PT crying. It reminds him of all our good times together. After he froze me to death, The Torturer sent me to my surgeon to be checked and x-rayed, and checked some more - because ... um, I'm not normal. My body is so screwed up already, there is no such thing as a minor car accident.
Also? My head hurt so much ... I felt like it was esploding.
I think I will be okay, but needless to say this has thrown my arm/shoulder/neck pain levels off the charts. Merry Christmas to me. My doctor decided drugging me into oblivion for the next few days would be the best course of action. Yes, this whole situation sucks. Especially at Christmas time. Really, really sucks!
The short post below was already written and scheduled to go out today. **
---------------------------------------------------
Yesterday I told you about fattigman cookies. I explained what they are and how to make them.
Well, everyone in my house loved them.
And I do mean ... everyone.
The guilty look on his face ... the powdered sugar on his nose ....
He may think he's got me fooled, but I'm on to him.

I'm so sorry! You poor thing, that's so unfair. Sending you all my positive thoughts. I know you don't feel it at the moment, but you're a super-strong person and you will get through this.

Oh gosh... so sorry to hear about this..um, not the powdered sugar incident, but the being hit from behind. Sort of never ending for you to have to deal with PT, but glad you were on ice RIGHT AWAY.... hopefully that eased things on your body. Your poor little bod just can't take much more abuse, Suzanne.
Try to relax and have a Merry Christmas....okay?

I am so sorry I missed hearing about this - of all the rotten luck - like you haven't been through enough already. I'm glad you are ok (if how you feel can be termed ok) and hope you recover quickly. Keeping you in prayers. I wish you a Merry Christmas, even if it is a drugged one. Hugs and blessings.

Oh no...I didn't know about yesterday. I feel so bad for you! As a longtime chronic pain patient myself - I started to cry for you. I'm sure your family's hearts are hurting too. Watching someone you love be in such pain and feeling so helpless is difficult too. I hope the meds help you and try to be thankful for the fact you are still here! Thank God!
I'm going to make your cookies today - since we got snowed in and can't spend the holidays with our family. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us out here!

Oh 24, I can't believe that! That sucks. I know there's nothing I can do or say to help, but I want you to know that I'm thinking of you and hoping that the effects of this fender bender disappear quickly. :\
You know, I know he's naughty, but doggie hugs are supposedly pretty good therapy...

Of all people, this should have not happened to you. I hate when bad things happen to good people. And at Christmas, what the hell. I hope you feel a little better each day, my friend. Merry Christmas to You!

I read on twitter about x-rays and thought they were just regularly scheduled x-rays and totally missed the part about an accident. That completely sucks. I'm so sorry. You really need a Driver and I think your insurance out to pay for that. (Yes, capital "D"). After all, this is Orange County. Be well friend.

Yikes! That's awful! I'm soooooo sorry you were in that rear-ender. I am an "eggshell" patient too, with my bum neck. One little hit and it's a major event in my life.
Please get well soon. Pamper yourself and allow others to pamper you too.
Hugs, and I hope you have a very merry Christmas, pain-free!
Warmly,
Kimber

Un-freaking-believable. I am so sorry this happened to you, of all people!
I'm hoping with all my might that this doesn't just make everything worse with your arm situation.
Merry Christmas, anyway!
