Do you remember this photo? I shared it with you in January.
(And for those who will surely ask, yes, it is available on my photo site - see button on my sidebar.)
Something about this scene calls to me. I take a lot of photos, but for some reason I love this one. Maybe because it was taken at a beach I frequent, maybe it's the perspective of the tracks, maybe it's the haunting quality of the scene in black and white ....
I had the photo blown up into a 16 x 24 print. I took it in for matting and framing.
Damn, framing has gotten pricey since a hundred years ago when I last framed something!
Nonetheless, it was worth every penny. Now it hangs in my downstairs hallway and I get to look at it a zillion times each day.
Often, it's the little things in life which make me smile.
Having this hanging in my house makes me so happy!

The frame is lovely with that photo.
Be well, 24.

as you speak of train tracks, I can't help but wonder if the train mooning still happens

I like this photo too. It's quite calming and serene. Great choice on the matting!

How lovely! It's awesome to be able to display your own work that way. :) (Maybe someday I should think about doing the same... HMMMMM...)

Oh, that is simply lovely framed and matted.
But no shit, framing is expensive. We got some very nice but inexpensive prints in New Orleans a couple of years ago for our guest bath and kitchen. The cost of framing and matting them was exorbitant - easily 10 times the cost of the prints.

I am glad you can look at it a million times a day!

I love that photo. We're a railroad family, except our tracks aren't framed with palm trees, so jealous!

Beautiful! That is my photography assignment for myself right now...I am working on redoing our bedroom and have the frame and matting I just need the perfect shot to place in my room. :D It nice to have things in life that make you happy to distract you from the rest of the world!

Yes I remember the night you posted this photo. I loved it then and love it now. OMG it is wonderful framed. Guess what I will be doing next payday? :)

ok ok I ordered it just now. What? No need to wait for payday. :)

Tres beeyootiful! p.s. Take a framing class -- it's not that hard to do a reasonable job you'll save millions in the long run.

I find it thoroughly fascinating that you love this picture as much as I do. I have it as my wallpaper on my IPhone and sometimes I could just sit and look at it for minutes. Isn't that unusual that of all the pictures you've taken and posted, the one you have framed is the one that I appreciate so much? Interesting...

Awesome! I just took 5 things in for matting and framing. $700! 50% off at Michael's this week. Could have been double! I'm in the wrong business!

Going to order that print right now!

I have almost the same photo saved on my iPhoto. We totally need to go on a picture journey one day. We take pictures of practically the same thing.
