Back in March, I attended a Plastic Surgery Party and won a raffle for a product called Youth Complex made by iS Clinical. (iS stands for Innovative Skincare.) I blogged about it at the time, and iS Clinical then contacted me and arranged a meeting. They asked if I would be interested in reviewing their product, and I agreed with the understanding I would be brutally honest with my review. There was also the added condition they provide product for me to use in a giveaway for my readers.
Hey, I'm all about you.
In the last month, I've been faithfully using Youth Complex every day.
In addition, I've also been using the iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex they provided for me (at no cost to myself).
iS Clinical is not compensating me for this review.
Both products are only available through doctors offices (dermatologists and plastic surgeons).
There's a lot of science behind the iS Clinical products. iS Clinical is on the leading edge of anti-aging technology. The products are made from botanicals and actually stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in your skin. There's a dose of antioxidants, which are very healthy for your skin, in every application.
Men, these products aren't just for women. Anyone who has skin can use them.
Do you have skin?
That's what I thought.
I also think you should know a little about my skin before I blab on and on. I have uber-sensitive skin. The majority of fancy skin products make me break out in a rash or get itchy. I've gravitated towards simple fragrance-free products as a result. My biggest concern about agreeing to this review was the worry of how my skin would react to new products.
And here's the thing ...
I unequivocally love both the Youth Complex and Youth Eye Complex products.
Love them!
(And you know I wouldn't say that unless I meant it!)
My skin seems to positively glow since I began using these products. The products aren't at all greasy. They hydrate my skin without making it break out - and I know it sounds impossible, but I swear they make little, fine, lines less apparent. Also, there just seems to be an added tightening, or firming, to my skin. I particularly notice this benefit under my eyes where all my crows feet live.
It's like magic.
I've become addicted.
(Briefcase grabs his wallet and runs ....!)
Apparently, I'm not the only one with great results. The list of celebrities using iS Clinical products reads like a Who's Who of Hollywood. (Yes, iS Clinical sent me a press packet so I would realize I'm in the company of people like Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston and many others.)
Did someone say I'm in the company of George Clooney? I've been meaning to be in his company for quite some time ....
I've been using Youth Complex on my face, neck, decolletage and (shhh!) a tiny little dab on the back of my hands. I use Youth Eye Complex around my eyes including my upper and lower eyelids.
I've mentioned before, one of my biggest gripes about my own body is the fact my hands have aged so much faster than the rest of me. I would love to see iS Clinical come out with a product specifically for the hands. (An affordable product for the hands!) In the meantime, I'll probably continue using a little dab of the Youth Complex on the back of my hands because I've seen a dramatic change in my skin from using it.
One other thing I want to mention ...
iS Clinical is very involved in helping cancer patients with skin issues which arise as a result of radiation and chemotherapy. Their products have such powerful botanical antioxidants, they help repair the skin against the free radical damage caused by cancer treatments. I'm a big believer in supporting companies which involve themselves in the betterment of society. For me, the iS Clinical work with cancer patients is just another reason to support their company.
Youth Complex runs around $135 before taxes and the Youth Eye Complex runs around $85 before taxes. It's expensive stuff, but the high cost is the only fault I've found with either product.
iS Clinical has been kind enough to provide me with one Youth Complex and one Youth Eye Complex to give away to my readers.
Here's how it works:
1. Leave a comment, any comment, to enter. (ideas: skin/health care/beauty products - or anything else!)
2. You may enter as many times as you like.
3. Comments/entries will remain open until 9 p.m., Pacific time, this Friday, April 16th.
4. There will be two winners, one for each product.
5. I will pick the winners using the Random Integer Generator.
6. Winners will be announced on Saturday, April 17th.
These are truly great products!
Good luck to all of you!

Wow, so nice to hear about a skin product that works! I try and take uber care of my skin, and I know what you mean about the hands. I try and put my moisturizing sunscreen on them each day!

Although I'm a couple of years older than 24 (only a couple), I, too, am blonde and fair with uber-sensitive skin. I haven't found ANYTHING that I can use on my skin without breaking out (and I've spent a small fortune trying to find that something). And the lack of daily moisturizer over the years has taken its toll (plus my desperate attempt to tan my pale face).
So, if you, a fellow uber-sensitive skin friend, recommend it, I will try it. Hopefully, I can win one. But otherwise, I may have to visit my dermotologist.

That sounds like a product right up my alley. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Clarisonic skin care system today. Made by the same company that makes Sonicare toothbrushes, it uses ultrasonic vibration and a gentle brush to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. My sister has been using it since the first of the year and says it is a miracle tool. Apparently lots of estheticians love it as well. That would make a nice give a way in conjunction with iS Clinical. You've gotta start with nice clean and exfoliated skin!

I'm in with skin. Super sensitive skin that likes to turn red and splotchy when I put anything on it, sounds like you have the same issue so this may be the solution for me.

Oh how I can relate to being sensitive to things! I'm always so hesitant to try something new!
I don't mind aging, but the changes the body goes ahead and does without permission! yikes.
I would love to try a great product that someone who has similar skin issues can vouch for. Good job!

A reader mention the Clarisonic...it is wonderful I have had mine about two weeks now and it's great. It's funny you mention skincare, especially eye cream because I am definitely needing some am almost out of what I have.
Posted by: DebrAbby | April 14, 2010 at 01:39 PM
Funny -- too that women's skincare lines are so expensive, now why is that?
Posted by: DebrAbby | April 14, 2010 at 01:39 PM
One other strange fact I recently heard about women's skincare.
They say that is the last thing a woman will give up, and that economists are noting sales of skincare lines are up which supposedly means the economy is getting better!
Posted by: DebrAbby | April 14, 2010 at 01:40 PM
Can you tell I really need this eye cream?
