I went out with some girlfriends on Thursday night.
I had too so much fun! I'll tell you more about it next week.
Once I've fully recovered.
For right now, I just want to share a photo I took while out. I'm proud of this photo, although it's far from perfect.
I was at an outdoor, rooftop, bar overlooking the ocean. It was beautiful.
I *might* have had one too many mojitos.
This gentleman was sitting near me. He had the ocean and sky behind him. The sun acted as the perfectly positioned hair light. All I had with me was a pretty beat up point and shoot camera.
And yet, still I got this ...
I don't know his name, but he gave me permission to take his photo. (Thank you!)
I gave him my business card so he could see his photo here on Twenty Four At Heart.
I think it's an awesome photo, don't you?

*snicker* He's kinda cute. I've got a thing for cowboys. Great pic. Can't wait to hear more about this fun!

Great shot. I like the green of the beer bottle on the edge of the photo. He looks like he took a wrong turn coming from Australia and landed on a Calif. beach pier.

You should do a series just of Orange County people! This shot wants me to hear his whole story. So many questions and only a photo to ponder. Really interesting, perfect, shot!

Yesss, I can see the beautiful ocean behind him......lmao. Somehow, I don't think any of us would be fixated on the water at this particular moment in time. Please tell me his voice was deep.....

There is a topic for photo friday... where do you find the courage to ask random people if you can take their photo? I love this shot!

It's a great contrast to all the plastic OC women we always see. An actual "real looking" man in Orange County! Great shot and an interesting subject. Hehehe.

Oh, dear. I do not find him remotely hot or yummy -- and, honest, I love cowboys. But. not. him.
Now, back to the photo... I like the way the light touches his hair and his lips. But it is just a little washed out and over exposed (too bad you only had the point and shoot). I love the reflections in the sunglasses -- a better camera probably would have given us something much clearer. And that would have made the photograph.
Moral: take your best kit with you, 24!

Oh I LOVE taking candid photos of strangers! I try to get shots that don't reveal their faces, so I can use them on my blog, without getting their permission. I'm afraid I seldom ASK anyone if I can photograph them. I just do it!

Love it. Lots of character to entice us with in that photo. He's the total opposite of my husband and that makes him ... very interesting indeed.
