Consider this a catch-all, miscellaneous, post.
There are a few things I want to get "out there" to the Southern California population and even those of you in other locations might also have an interest.
1. Mooning the Train, an Orange County annual event, will be taking place in the city of Laguna Niguel ALL DAY this Saturday, July 10th! Parking is always difficult, so please plan ahead if you're able to attend this fun event. I hope to be there for at least part of the day myself because it is ALWAYS a great time.
My ass *might have* appeared on national news last year. Shhh! Don't tell anyone.
(Yes, the city of Laguna Niguel probably DOES hate me right about now ....)
2. The wonderful, heartwarming, Plasticos Foundation, is holding a Mud Run in Orange County on July 18th at the Irvine Lake. I can't think of a more deserving organization and I encourage my local readers to show their support. Even if you're not a runner, this should be a great event to walk and/or watch. (It's about 3 miles at Irvine Lake)
Remember how I almost accompanied Plasticos to Cambodia? Well, they recently returned from that trip and it sounds like an amazing time. They treated a young boy with a cobra bite to his foot! If you have any interest you can read all about it on the Plasticos Foundation Blog.
3. Wild Rivers Park in Irvine and Raging Waters in San Dimas contacted me with a discount offer for my readers. For Wild Rivers, the discount is $5 off a general admission ticket and you can click here to get the coupon. (OR you can enter the promotion code: SUN2 if you purchase your ticket online here.)
For Raging Waters in San Dimas, the discount is good for $7 off a general admission ticket purchased online or $5 off a general admission ticket purchased at the park. The coupon is available here. (OR you can enter the promotion code: 1067 if you purchase your ticket online here.)
To my non-Southern California readers, forgive me for mentioning these local events/offers today. I'll be back to normal posting ASAP!

I understand that San Dimas has some most excellent water slides - a couple of guys named Bill and Ted said so.
