I've been running from one thing to the next pretty much nonstop the entire month of August. I don't think things are going to slow down for a few more weeks. In between all my running around, I've been trying to edit the bazillion photos (not brazilian photos!) I've been taking along the way.
I thought I'd share just a few more today from NYC.
These will be the last from New York - I promise.
Then I'll get back to business as normal. You know, normal for me: Orange County, beach, nipples, stranger danger (!), phantom panties, more beach (because who can ever get enough?), embarrassing personal incidents which are so embarrassing I even astonish myself, etc., etc.
That is, I think I will get back to normal.
I mean, unless I find a real gem of a NY photo hidden away that I forgot about.
Or unless, perhaps, I take off for the east coast again really soon.
(Because I hate traveling cross country so why not do it twice in one month? Especially the one month out of the year that is guaranteed to be hot/humid/miserable on the east coast?)
Anyway .... more about THAT later.
Marmaduke (from the movie) was in the expo hall at BlogHer and I was thrilled to have my photo taken with him. I love animals and he was SO well behaved. I just wanted to scrunch up his ears and play tickle-your-tummy with him, but his trainer said (a bit sternly), "Please keep your hand just on his back."
So I, mostly, did.
(Except for sneaking in a little ear rub, because who could resist? And Marmaduke enjoyed it - I could tell!)
I don't think his REAL name is Marmaduke. That's just the part he plays in the movie. I forgot to ask him what his real name is.
As you can see by all the other photos, a lot of what was important to me at BlogHer was seeing people I know and meeting new people.
And pizza.
Pizza was also very important.
This is where I'm supposed to name every single person in the above photos and link to them. And, um ... yeah - did I mention I'm on pain meds? You can probably tell by the general rambling tone of this entire post. (Blame it on my new straitjacket! Boo! Hiss!)
If I tried to link to all those wonderful people right now, I can guarantee you none of the links would go to the right person and people would get mad at me and I'd make a Blogging.Disaster out of it.
I might even get fired as a blogger.
It could happen.
In fact, I'm actually really surprised it hasn't happened yet.
Never try to put more than one or two links in a post while under the influence of pain meds. It's a famous Twenty Four At Heart rule of blogging.
Suffice it to say, all those people pictured above?
ARE REALLY, REALLY, NICE!

Ok, 24, let's talk about the real important questions.
How big and soft and cuddily were Marmaduke's paws?

Not looking at the photo of the pizza. Oh, SO not looking at the photo of the pizza...

Oh man! It would have been the death of me not to be able to kiss and nuzzle that big ol' puppy! Great pics!

I was so bummed I never went to see Marmaduke. I was just afraid he'd be bigger than me. Probably is!

Love Marmaduke! I would have had to sneak a scritch or two in also. And a snuggle around his neck. He's adorable!

I think you were very lucky that he didn't eat you for snacks! What a moose! I'm very cautious around strange dogs...especially HUGE dogs that could tear my jugular vein out on a whim.
NICE bracelet ;)

The photo with Marmaduke stopped me dead in my tracks! I LOVE that Dane...love 'im. There's no way I could have just let my hand rest on his back. I have ZERO willpower when it comes to Great Danes and Newfies. So um yeah, I'm just a wee bit jealous of you, right now!

I'm famous!! Yay!! It was so great to meet you in New York. :)
I took a picture with Marmaduke too. And Dora. And the Jimmy Dean Sunshine dude. I shouldn't have been allowed in the Expo Hall alone.
