December is always a busy month. I've had a lot going on in addition to the parties I've shared with you.
For instance, last Friday night I was up until 1:30 a.m. (Saturday morning), because I was picking my son up from LAX airport which is NOT conveniently close to our house. I'm thrilled to have him home for the next month. My parents arrive for a visit this Friday and my daughter arrives for three weeks next Monday.
The weather is supposed to cool down this week, but the last few days have involved a lot of this:
The water's a little chilly for me, but my Golden doesn't hesitate for a minute as long as the sun is shining.
Have I mentioned a million times, I love the golden hour just before sunset?
We've had some beautiful sunsets too.
I've been trying to use my camera for at least a few shots each day to strengthen my arm. Of course, the more I use my arm - the more it hurts. There's no question, though, that being a cyborg bionic, is taking my pain level down a notch or two. I'm looking forward to a few months down the road when I'll have the full benefit of my new system.
Last but not least, it took a full week, but our enormous Christmas tree is finally decorated. There was such a sense of accomplishment once the angel was placed on top.
I love the bokeh in the above photo.
Holiday lights are so beautiful to photograph regardless of what holiday you celebrate.

I love the action shot of your puppy (are you surprised?). I am sure your tree looks absolutely gorgeous and I am so excited that you'll get to spend christmas with your chilluns. :)

Love love LOVE the shot of the angel! (To say nothing of the one of the sunset...sigh...)
I'm still trying to get good shots of individual ornaments on our family room tree - the radioactive glare from all those damn lights keeps interfering.

Can you tell us how to achieve the bokeh effect? Have always wondered how it's done.
Love your blog!
